Inlanta Employees Support Wounded Warriors

Support Our Soldiers

Inlanta Mortgage is pleased to announce a donation of more than $2,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Fundraising for Wounded Warriors at Annual Conference

Earlier this year, Inlanta Mortgage employees attended their 9th Annual Sales Conference at the Milwaukee Public Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While the company’s annual conference agenda is full of educational sessions, presentations by partner organizations and discussion on important issues facing the mortgage industry – one of the exciting aspects of the event is the fundraising raffle.

At this year’s conference, employees were offered the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets and win a number of prizes donated by Inlanta Mortgage vendors and partners. Prizes included iPads, luggage sets, gift cards and more. All proceeds of the raffle were to be distributed to the Wounded Warrior Project in addition to our annual Habitat for Humanity contributions.

About the Wounded Warrior Project

“The Wounded Warrior Project helps injured warriors returning home from the conflicts overseas and provides assistance to their families,” says Chief Operating Officer, Jean Badciong, “The Wounded Warrior Project’s vision resonates with the Inlanta Mortgage team, many of which have loved ones in the armed forces or who have served in the military themselves.”

The Wounded Warrior Project’s vision is to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history. The Wounded Warrior Project offers a number of programs to help wounded warriors adjust to their new normal including programs to support mental health issues, physical rehabilitation and economic empowerment. Learn more about the Wounded Warrior Project on their website.

Employees are also coordinating a Christmas card mailing to injured soldiers through the Red Cross’ Holidays Mail for Heroes. In addition, several Inlanta Mortgage loan officers are participating in the Homes for Heroes program. Veterans Day

Honoring Their Ultimate Sacrifice

Each year, the Veterans Day National Ceremony is held on November 11th at Arlington National Cemetery. The ceremony commences precisely at 11:00 a.m. with a wreath laying at the Tomb of the Unknowns and continues inside the Memorial Amphitheater with a parade of colors by veterans’ organizations and remarks from dignitaries. The ceremony is intended to honor and thank all who served in the United States Armed Forces.

Inlanta Mortgage employees celebrate the bravery of our service members and honor those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. We also salute the family members who have suffered from the loss of a loved one during their course of duty.

Ways to Contribute:

According to military.com, there are number of ways to support our veterans and service members this November – or any time of the year. Here are a few suggestions:

Disabled Veterans of American – Disabled Veterans of America (DAV) offers a variety of services to disabled veterans and their families. With more than 1.2 million members, DAV has tremendous reach and provides invaluable service to wounded veterans. DAV provides its members (veterans and their families) help with disability assistance, their VA pensions, job programs and more. It receives no government funding, so donations and gifts are crucial to keep providing services to veterans. DAV offers many ways to give back to the men and women who defended our country.

Wounded Warrior Project – Wounded veterans all require a different recovery process. The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) provides rehabilitation, activities and career counseling for our nation’s wounded warriors and their families. You can support the Wounded Warrior Project in a number of ways: by hosting a Supporter Event, sending letters to an injured service member, giving a monthly gift, or making a donation in honor of a loved one. This holiday season, WWP encourages supporters to establish employee giving drives by creating Casual Fridays, departmental competitions or office parties to benefit WWP.
